How can we help?
Getting started
How do I publish my first project?+
On the homepage, choose Drop a file to upload a file or a zip, or Describe a site to have Doope design a webpage you can review and publish. When you publish, sign in with Google or a 6-digit code emailed to you. Your account starts on the Free plan: one project up to 3 MB, with a small Doope badge. Choose a paid plan any time for more projects, bigger uploads, or your own domain.
What can I host?+
Any static website or file: HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, a built dist/ folder from any framework (React, Vue, Svelte, Next.js, and more), PDFs, images, or a .zip of any of these. Doope unpacks the zip and serves its contents.
Can I change my link later?+
Yes. Change the link name anytime in your project settings. The new link replaces the old one, so share the new one with anyone who has the old link. For a link that stays put, connect your own domain.
How do I update my project?+
Open your project settings and use Update to upload a new version. Your link stays the same and the content updates. Your last 5 versions are saved in Version history, where you can restore any of them. Saved versions count toward your storage, and when space runs low an update clears that project's oldest saved versions first.
Is there a file size limit?+
Each file or ZIP can be up to 3 MB on Free, 25 MB on Starter, 75 MB on Solo, and 10,000 MB on Pro and Studio. Most projects are a few MB. Large uploads resume automatically if your connection drops.
Can I download my project?+
Yes. Open the project's settings in My projects and select Download .zip to get its current files. This works on any plan, and after a plan ends too. Drop the zip on Doope anytime to publish it again.
Making a site with AI
Who can see a site while Doope is making it?+
Only you. A site from Describe a site stays a private draft while you review it and ask for changes. When it looks right, select Publish, pick its link and who can visit, and it goes live. Later changes wait in the editor the same way, until you select Publish changes.
What are AI messages?+
Each build or change you ask Doope for uses one AI message. If something goes wrong before Doope starts writing, you get that message back. Free includes 5 a month, paid plans include more, and the pricing page lists each allowance. The editor shows how many you have left, and so does Settings → Billing & usage.
What happens when my AI messages run out?+
Your projects stay online, and visual edits keep working. A fresh allowance arrives on the 1st of each month (UTC). For more right away, choose a bigger plan on the pricing page.
Can I change the words and images myself?+
Yes, on every plan, Free included. In the editor, turn on Visual edits, click any text or image on your page, and change it in place. Visual edits leave your AI messages untouched. Save your changes, then publish them when you are ready.
How do I change a site Doope made?+
Open the project and choose Edit with AI. Ask for a change in the chat, such as "make the header blue" or "add a pricing section", and Doope updates the draft. Each request uses one AI message, and your live site stays as it is until you select Publish changes.
Custom domains
How do I connect my own domain?+
Custom domains are available on Solo and above. Add your domain in your project settings or on the Custom domains page, and Doope shows you the DNS records to add: a CNAME that points your domain to Doope and a TXT record that confirms it is yours. Once DNS verifies, usually within minutes, HTTPS is set up for you.
Is HTTPS automatic?+
Yes. Once your DNS records verify, Doope issues an HTTPS certificate for your domain and renews it for you.
Can I buy a domain through Doope?+
Doope connects domains you already own. Buy one from any registrar, like Cloudflare, Namecheap, or Porkbun, then connect it from the Custom domains page.
Security
How do I password-protect my project?+
Password protection is available on Solo and above. Set a password in your project settings, and visitors enter it before they see your project. Change or remove it anytime.
What if I forget my project password?+
Sign in, open the project's settings, and set a new password. Visitors use the new password from their next visit.
Billing
How do I upgrade or downgrade?+
Choose a plan on the pricing page or with any Upgrade button. Once you are subscribed, change plans or switch between monthly and annual billing from Settings → Billing & usage.
How do I update my card or cancel?+
Go to Settings → Billing & usage and select Manage billing. From there you can update your card, see invoices, download receipts, or cancel your subscription.
Do you offer annual billing?+
Yes. Every paid plan comes monthly or annual, and annual gives you 2 months free: 14 months of hosting for the price of 12. Pick annual on the pricing page, or switch from Settings → Billing & usage.
Teams
What can Editors and Reviewers do?+
Editors publish and manage projects. Admins are Editors who can also invite and remove teammates. Reviewers can view projects, analytics, sign-ups and version history, which suits clients and stakeholders. The owner manages billing and the team. Pick a role when you invite someone, and the owner can change it anytime from the Team page.
How many teammates can I invite?+
Pro includes 1 editor seat and 1 reviewer seat. Studio includes 5 of each. Admins use editor seats, and a pending invite holds its seat until it is accepted, canceled or expires. The owner never uses a seat. The Team page shows how many seats are in use. Business plans come with a custom number of seats.
Why can a teammate only view projects?+
When a team has more Editors than its plan includes, for example after a plan change, those extra Editors get view access until a seat is free. The owner can free a seat by removing someone, moving someone to Reviewer, or upgrading, and editing comes back right away.
API
How do I deploy from a script or CI?+
API access is available on Solo and above. Create a key in Settings → Developers, then POST a zip to /api/v1/deploy with the key as a bearer token. It works in GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, CircleCI, and any other CI system. The docs have full examples.
What are the rate and size limits?+
Upload size and project count follow your plan, as listed on the pricing page. The deploy API accepts up to 60 deploys an hour per account. The Errors section of the docs lists every status code and what it means.
Safety
How do I report abusive or infringing content?+
Email [email protected] with the URL and what you found. For copyright or trademark claims, send a DMCA notice as described on our DMCA policy page. We review every report quickly.
Why was my project flagged or suspended?+
Our automated safety scan holds back uploads that match known harmful content, and those projects show a Flagged badge. Projects that break our Acceptable Use Policy show Suspended. If you think we got it wrong, email [email protected] with the project link.
